Summer Reading 2013

Language Arts

As part of your preparation for sixth grade, we are asking you to read three books and from the Holy Bible. You will be asked to prepare a small project to reflect your Scripture reading. For your other three books, you will be able to take AR Quizzes within the first weeks of school, so it might be a good idea to make review sheets to keep track of each book. (The number is parenthesis is the AR level)

Religious Studies:

Read from the Bible your favorite Old Testament story. Retell the story in your own words by making it into a picture book. You design your own picture book from your retelling of your favorite Old Testament story. Be prepared to share why it is your favorite story. Try to be original and consider all stories. We will share these in class during the first weeks of school.
