Incoming 7th Grade Summer Reading Assignment 2012
As part of your preparation for seventh grade, we are requiring that you read three books and to read from the Holy Bible. You will be asked to prepare a small project to reflect your Scripture reading. For your other three books, you will need to complete a Reading Record. These forms will help prompt you for the AR Quiz that you will take within the first few weeks of school. (The number in parenthesis is the AR level). Feel free to read more than the required books as well as any additional books of your choice. Students will be able to take AR tests to receive credit for their reading.
Religious Studies:
Read from the Bible your favorite New Testament story. Retell the story in YOUR OWN WORDS by making it into a picture book, video, play or song. You design your own picture book, video, play or song from your retelling of your favorite New Testament story. Be prepared to tell your teacher why it is your favorite New Testament story. Try to be original and consider other stories besides Jesus’ birth and the Easter story. We will share these in class during the first week of school.
