Protecting Children
Child sexual abuse is a worldwide public health issue. Child abuse, particularly child sexual abuse, is reprehensible - especially when the wrongdoer is affiliated with the church. The VIRTUS programs assists the church in being a safe haven for children and a messenger for preventing child sexual abuse within the church and society in general. We, the Diocese of Saint Augustine, seek to achieve this lofty goal through our child sexual abuse prevention program: "Protecting God’s Children".

Who Should Attend
If you are a member of the clergy, a diocesan employee (staff and ministries), or a volunteer who has consistent contact with children and youth, you are required to attend one program.
You can sign up for any of them by going to www.virtus.org and following the registration process.

Workshop Schedule
The following dates have been scheduled for the four-hour program at St. Augustine Church & Catholic Student Center at 6:30 pm. Contact: Tom Rinkoski 372-3533
